The Portland sea dogs roster consists of the players who made an appearance for the Portland Beavers in the Major League Baseball (MLB) 1998 season. Portland was a member of the National League (NL). The 1998 season was the first in Major League Baseball (MLB) history to use only one umpire, who wore a green uniform and a number on his back, to enforce rules on the field.
